Honey Balsamic Baked Brie with Cherries & Pecans
This is the best baked brie you will ever make. It's that simple. Cooking the cheese in cast iron helps it retain the heat, so instead of congealing on your beautiful table, it will stay warm and gooey. Plus, we went salty/sweet instead of drowning the cheese in sugar. Toasty pecans, tart cherries, our amazing Honey Balsamic... bring on the Holiday Parties!
Serves: 6
What you Need
1 small wheel of Brie or Camembert (about 9 ounces)
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup dried cherries
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
¼ cup Tessemae’s Honey Balsamic
sliced apple and pear or crackers, for serving
What to Do
- Preheat your oven to 350F. Place the pecans on a baking sheet. Bake until fragrant, 5 minutes.
- Put the cheese in a small heavy skillet or baking dish (cast iron works best). Top with the pecans, cherries, thyme and Honey Balsamic.
- Bake until softened, 15 to 20 minutes. Transfer to a serving board and wrap the skillet in a linen or towel to prevent burns.
- Serve with fruit and crackers.
