WHAT YOU NEED
3 pounds ground bison
¾ cup Tessemae's Diggy's Sweet & Spicy BBQ or Matty's Bold BBQ
Coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon ghee
WHAT YOU DO
- Line 2 large rimmed baking sheet with parchment or foil. Combine the ground bison and Diggy's or Matty’s BBQ Sauce.
- Divide meat into 12 equal sized pieces (about 4 ¼ oz each) and line up on one of the prepared baking sheets. Shape each piece into a flat hockey puck shaped patty. Sprinkle patties generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet over medium-high heat and add ghee to pan. Add 4 burgers to pan and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side for medium. Remove burgers from pan and transfer to the other prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining burgers.
- Serve or transfer patties to a storage container and refrigerate up to 5 days.
