Fresh Cranberry & Pear Sauce
Here's a cranberry sauce recipe for when you're ready to step beyond the "whole berry" canned varieties. It's super simple and the vibrant flavor (and color) will brighten up everyone's plate.
Makes 8 servings
What you need
12 ounces fresh cranberries
1/2 cup 100% pure apple juice
2 Anjou pears, peeled, cored and cut into ½-inch pieces
1 lemon, zested and juiced
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup golden raisins
2 tablespoons Tessemae’s Honey Balsamic
What you do
- Combine cranberries and apple juice in a medium-size saucepan and cook, covered, over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until cranberries release their juices, about 8 minutes.
- Meanwhile, stir together pear and lemon juice and zest. Stir pear mixture, orange juice, raisins and Honey Balsamic into cranberry mixture and simmer 10 minutes. Transfer to serving bowl and let cool to room temperature before serving.
