Shredded Chicken Gyros
MAKES 6 SERVINGS
WHAT YOU NEED
For the Chicken:
- 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, sliced
- ¼ cup Tessemae’s Greek Dressing
- 1 teaspoon dill weed
- coarse salt and freshly ground black pepper
For Serving:
- lettuce wraps or pita bread
- sliced cucumbers
- feta cheese
- Greek Yogurt
- Tessemae’s Greek Dressing
WHAT YOU DO
- In the bowl of a slow cooker toss the chicken, onion, garlic, dill, Greek Dressing, 1 teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. Arrange in a single layer in slow cooker.
- Set slow cooker for 4 hours on high or 6 hours on low.
- Remove chicken to a bowl and shred with two forks.
- Serve in lettuce wraps or pitas with cucumber, feta, and Greek yogurt and more Greek Dressing.
