BBQ Pork Sliders
Everyone will love these easy game day sliders! To make them, cook boneless pork shoulder in a slow cooker with Tessemae’s Matty's BBQ sauce. It becomes meltingly tender. Serve it on slider rolls with coleslaw and pickles for a tailgating at home snack!
WHAT YOU NEED
2 ½ cups chicken broth
1 10-ounce bottle Matty’s Organic BBQ Sauce, divided
1 large diced onion
2 pounds boneless pork shoulder or pork butt
¾ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
16 slider rolls, split
Sliced sweet onion, pickle chips and coleslaw for serving
WHAT YOU DO
- Pour broth into the insert of a slow cooker. Add ½ cup Matty’s BBQ Sauce and onion. Add pork shoulder. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover and set slow cooker to low heat for 8 hours.
- When timer goes off, remove lid and transfer the pork to a cutting board. Let rest 10 minutes. Shred pork with two forks, discarding any large pieces of fat.
- Meanwhile pour cooking liquid into a saucepan. Bring to a simmer and cook until the liquid is reduced to about 3 cups. Stir in the rest of the bottle of Matty’s BBQ sauce.
- Stir the shredded pork into the sauce and serve the pulled pork on the slider rolls topped with onions, pickles and coleslaw as desired.
